Such a stressful day today - forgot to weigh this morning and now it's evening and I refuse to weigh at night (always disappointed when I do). Should get lots of exercise tomorrow when my husband and I are out hunting - it's hard to figure out what to bring to eat. I thought some nuts and maybe string cheese, but I need something easy to carry in my pack. Any suggestions?

I think the string cheese is a good idea - and since I just read the book - a limited number of nuts. What are you hunting? The only thing I ever hunted for is my keys!

Oh - maybe jerky is something you could take - just seal it up in a plastic bag so the deer? dont smell it?

We hunt Deer, Bear and Cougar - I LOVE HUNTING!!! It so rocks! My husband got a huge mule deer buck this morning - his first really large mule deer ever although he's gotten several really big whitetails in years past. This one we ended up taking to the taxidermist because he's such a monster. I like the idea of the jerky and I usually count my nuts (oh wow that sounded bad! lol:0)) and have only the amount outlined in the SBD. It's easy to eat too many of them if not. Thanks for the suggestions! Back out hunting tomorrow - now it's MY turn!
