Starting my NYC state of mind day praying for serenity and prepared to take it this one day, meal, moment, bite or emotion at a time. Had a great day yesterday touring the midtown/times square areas & dinner at Jekyll and Hyde which the boys loved... And so did my friend & I... Maybe not 5-stars for food but definitely entertaining:). And I was easily able to stay my course gluten, lactose & sugar free.
Pleasantly surprised to find out that the boys don't tolerate crowds for too long & that we all like to get to bed early. Today we're off to the 911 Memorial, Freedom Towers & ferry ride around the Statute of Liberty. Hoping to also get to Battery Park, the Finacial District & Chinatown. I've already had a workout in the hotel gym & am eating breakfast as we chat... Hope you don't mind if I eat (mindfully, of course!) in front of you:)! As I've done when away from home before, I won't try to log my food but focus instead on eating mindfully -- it seems to work best for me when away.
