Well, the hubby left for a few days today. Which means, today is the day the real challenge begins. The challenge being to not go after all the things which offer me comfort and empty calories. We went out for a nice breakfast this morning, coffee, water, egg & cheese biscut, 1 slice of bacon and 1 slice of cinamon & raison toast wtih just a little apple butter. My sugar this morning was 111. Not sure what my weight was after the week-end as my scales need a new battery.
My Dr. wants me to consider a new diabetic medication, Bydurion. It's a once a week injection, and I will come off the Amaryl and slowly will begin to adjust the Janumet, with the goal of being able to come off all diabetic medication over time. That is still my ultimate goal as I'm still early in the disease process according to my Dr. Has anyone else taken this medication? What are your opinions? I'm strongly considering asking him for a sample or two...before I ask for the prescription to be filled.
