I was just talking with a friend who lost 35 pounds on the South Beach diet. He said it took like 6 months. I was up to 172 and if I lose 30 pounds that would put me at 142. I think I can do it faster then 6 months. I'm at 156 now and only have 14 more to lose. I lost the first 16 in 2 months and 1 week. I'm hoping to keep the same rate of weight loss over the next two months and I should reach my goal weight.
