An average of just over a pound a week is very respectable and a better goal than quick, unsustainable progress. Hang in there, and don't be discouraged! Is there something you think you might want to try that is a bit different from your current plan? You can try using some different "tools" and see how you feel! 😁

I’ve cut calories to under 1000 a day (a little more on weekends) and overall, eating healthier. Lower fat, carbs, sugars. I’ve also added a weight loss drink for appetite suppressant. On some days I only had 500 calories!

Hi Eden - not to tell you what to do, but under eating can cause your body to hold onto everything you put it! Careful not to slow your metabolism. By eating a healthy amount of calories and increasing activities can help you lose at a nice steady rate and you'll be surprised at how nice the weight starts to drop

Kissangelgirl. Yea, I know that’s going on but since cutting my calories and cutting out certain foods, I am not as hungry anymore and full faster. I don’t know how to speed up my metabolism to compensate for my body holding on to stored calories.

I bought a fit index scale on Amazon and even those times I'm not losing weight just seeing my hydration go up makes me feel like a least I'm a bit healthier. It was only 20 bucks.

Hi Eden, I know sometimes it gets a little discouraging not seeing that scale number move down. I found that a slow steady decline is best fast results aren't always good results. I know what works for me is having a good water intake daily and 1800-1900 calorie a day gets me about a .5 to 1lb a week.
half a pound a week is really good, a 1lb is super good. I was getting migraines at 1800 cal a day and just went up again to 1900, our bodies way of saying we need those extra calories. wish you all the best.

Don't forget to drink that water. You don't need diet shakes unless you love them. Eat healthy portions and drink 8 glasses of water a day. I drink a gallon most days but I don't drink anything but water. So when I'm sitting around I constantly sipping on water. Just remember whatever you do to lose weigh make sure it's a life time thing because if you return to your old eating habits, you'll just gain it back. So slow and steady always wins the race. :)

I went 6 weeks and lost NOTHING and had cut my calories back to about 700 a day. Read my yesterdays journal. Then I had to drinks lots of water for a blood test and lo and behold, while eating 1200 calories a day I lost 5 lbs in a week. Read that body can't convert fat into waste without hydration.
