started off on the bench today. Should have either not tried for the new 1RM or should have gone a little lighter before lol. either way, I'm confident that, fresh, I can get the 290, maybe even the 300.

got a spotter to help me for the 1RM attempts. 300 I unracked and brought down just fine, but just couldn't push up alone. a few minutes later, I damn near got the 290. probably 3/4 of the way up, strict form. I can't count it yet tho, cause if it ain't solid form or if it doesn't go all the way up, it ain't a rep 😜

total volume = 11,035 pounds in 59 reps in 7 sets (not counting the two failures, of course).

According to my lifting tracking app that I'm using now, today's workout estimates a 1RM of 285 (last tested max was 260 a few months ago). but going by my workout Monday, the calculated 1RM is 315.

I'm not ready to go for 315 quite yet lol. that's a jump! but when I get back in Monday, I'll find me another big guy to make sure I don't die of a crushed chest, and I'm gonna nail that 300 after a good warm up!

squats:

overhead press:

total volume pressed: 4100 in 28 reps in 4 sets.

to finish out the day, I did dumbell farmer carry, 80 pounds in each hand for 85 steps.

Well, I'm gaining about a pound a week, and I think I need to reverse that trend lol. Looks like I need to get back on top of tracking every bite every day, and bring the total daily calories down a bit.

Getting considerably stronger, but also noticing the belly growing again. Gotta tighten up.

Also, noticed a typo in maon post. Previous 1RM on bench was 270, not 260

Thanks DP! I keep bouncing back and forth between going for big volume and going for heavy weights lol. Either way, gonna have to restructure my diet a bit. I need more fiber, but less sugar. Also could probably stand to cut the 9 calories per gram fats a bit lol
