Very slow now a days, I’ve got 22 lbs 🚴🏼‍♀️to go to hit my goal 🎯 of 150 🏆 and it’s moving at a snails 🐌 pace. Upside, the longer it takes the the more my woe becomes second nature instead of back to old habits. Even food and drinks I loved before just don’t taste as good!! That’s weird and kinda cool. I drank some of my hubbys famous sweet tea(famous cause the family is always dropping in to grab a gallon) and it didn’t trigger the “omg, this is to die for, I must have more” response I used to get! Even my favorite smoked sausage doesn’t trigger that response. Weird, but I’m ok with this!! So I’ll continue to take this slow weight loss cause I’m gaining a new respect for what foods actually fuel me and help me!!

Tammylynn, it's the only way to take off weight. It just becomes second nature. You don't feel deprived and you don't binge.

I agree, new habits replacing the old ones with it being a slow process! I’ve redid my RDI on the website and it’s at 2500 calories a day, lol, I know that’s “maintenance” calories. I don’t go below 1200 and don’t go over 1500. I’m happy with the way I’m losing, and I stay at certain weights a couple weeks and that’s ok. And YES, sweet tea is a deadly thing, lol!! We live in the Deep South, the sweeter the better, so it’s huge that I walked away from it!! Thank you for the encouragement!!

Tammy read about metabolic adaptation, I doubt your maintenance will continue to be 2500 calories a day after such a calorie deficit.

When you stop dieting you will only be able to eat a few hundred more calories more from where you were eating while dieting

WTG so proud of you, you've got this! 👏💪💞 And in response to some of the comments, we had an adjustment period to alter our eating habits so I fully imagine we will definitely have an adjustment period for our maintenance. Because of the length of time it took and with our determination we are more likely to keep it off. Hats off to you my dear. 👏👏💪

I can NOT thank you all for the encouragement!!! This means a lot to me. It’s a battle daily to make the right choices and I will win the war!! It’s easier by the day and having such a great support system here makes me more accountable and more determined to do this. Thank you each!!

It stays off when it’s nice and slow 😊

Jcmama777, that’s straight motivation for me. I’ve gotten frustrated but then I remember I’m relearning and the body is adjusting and they go hand in hand so slow is key. Slow really does equal success!!
