Lately after working out ( the last two weeks) I am soo hungry. I plan all meals and calories out everyday. And have even tried to plan a meal for after a work out to help combat this. I am starting to wonder if I am to a point now that I need to increase my daily calories to support my workouts and weight lifting. It makes me nervous to increase calories because I am still trying to lose weight. I eat about 1200-1500 calories a day. With at least 60 grams of protein. This is my doctor and dietitian recommendations. ( I had weight loss surgery last October) I don’t have another appointment with them until September to get their input. I am new to weight lifting, so I am wondering if this is a common thing. I lift about 5-6 days a week with cardio after each weight lifting. I am starting to think I am not taking enough in to and that is why I am so hungry lately

I am no expert, but it seems you have an answer. Perhaps you may want to alternate your lifting and cardio days? That may help with the hunger. Does your health plan have a medical online portal where you can email questions to your physician or physician's assistant?
