It may not be much but it's definitely in the right direction 😁. I did not put all this weight on overnight so to be healthy and remain healthy it's not going to come off overnight. The great thing is... once it's off it will stay off because I will be eating healthy. It's not a diet but a lifestyle.

Been here for awhile and it seems common for some to loose weight quickly in the beginning! Good job! Don’t be discouraged if your losses are smaller or slower in the future. Our bodies seem to get more efficient at burning calories and our daily “maintenance” calories may be reduced at some point in the future. Are you running on a daily calorie deficit?

60pack, I'm seeing a Dietitian and getting my BS under control. I'm on 1200 calories per day and 40 or under carbs per meal. You wouldn't think 1200 calories would be much food but it's a lot. I've only had 2 days that I've met or gone over that amount. Personally I thought I would have lost more than I have but I have to remember I'm sedentary for medical reasons at the moment. So any loss is a gain to me and my BS levels have come down considerably. My next visit for A1C check I'm hoping to go from 7.3 down to atleast 6.3 with the numbers I'm seeing on a daily basis or possibly even lower. Either way I'm happy and feel blessed with all the support here.

Grammy Kim, sounds like you are getting good advice for T2D, though you might benefit from lowering carbs further. I brought my A1c back into normal range and am maintaining a 40 lb loss on 25 g carbs per day.

Gz9gjg, I'm sure they are going to drop further. The more and faster you learn the more they expect. I don't consider this a diet but a lifestyle. I have to completely undo then redo what my brain has said is ok to eat. I'm astounded by what I've been eating even shocked at times by the sheer amount of food most Americans eat without giving second thought to portion control. That's including me especially with meat. So as I'm learning my portions are now under control. I measure and weigh everything. I didn't ever think I would see me do that but here I am and very happy about it. I can already feel my body changing. So it will be exciting to see where this journey carries me ❣💖
