melyss's Journal, 19 May 08

Well I got through the long-weekend without incident. I thought FOR SURE I would fall off the wagon and want fast food. Something amaZing happened instead, I actually enjoyed cooking at home. I had company in the kitchen and we made meals that were low in points and high in protein.

Overall, I really enjoyed all the food I ate this weekend. My body must be in shock over how much I am consuming in the way of fruits and veggies and whole foods...I just hope that eating right, coupled with a weekend full of treadmill workouts will reflect at weigh in on Thursday. We'll see.

I am taking tonight off and then will work out again in the morning tomorrow before breakfast. I am enjoying the energy that the morning workout gives me for the day. I am not a morning person so finding out that working out in the morning can help jump start my day, was a big revelation.

Back to work tomorrow, back to the weekday schedule. I am getting more and more used to eating on a schedule and making sure I eat within the food pyramid appropriately. Wish me luck, I am moving into week 4 of this change of lifestyle. Thanks to all my buddies here online, and at work for the support that really gets me through..you all rock!

Big shout-out to my WW buddy lisamac. Without her, this would be much harder.
