Carolyn Burt's Journal, 27 May 19

It was a ruff day yesterday, While starting the low carb diet, the bathroom was my best friend. 2 pounds lighter, this must be working.

For lunch I had a baked chicken breast and this yummy southwest salad. The dressing and tortilla strips were low carb so no guilt here, just yummy!

Normally "bathroom issues" are not part of the keto flu. But sometimes radically changing your diet can cause your stomach to rebel a bit - Anyways glad that you are feeling better. Good luck

Have some salty broth or bouillon twice per day; and get some LiteSalt, which is half Potassium Chloride. With low carb, your body sheds salt and potassium, causing the symptoms called "keto flu".

Okay, thank you liv001 and gz9gjg, this helps me to understand a bit more. I will have some salty broth twice a day. Again, thank you both.

Also, even "low carb" substitutes for bread, chips and wraps, are relatively high carb. If you can, cut them out and use nuts or jicama for crunch on your salads. Best to save your carb budget for non-starchy veggies, Tomatoes, and berries.
