Almost to week 6 of Atkins diet.

The first two weeks went excellent, I lost 8 pounds. Since then, I haven't lost anything!

I've been trying to eat mostly protein and stick to the mental cups measurement of my veggie intake - 2 cups salad vegetables, 1 cup other vegetables. I haven't kept track of how much cheese, mayonnaise, or cream that I eat. I have cheated twice now because I was given meals at work meetings and didn't want to pick my food apart in front of my co-workers!

I've been exercising 2-4 times a week, although this past week has been extremely busy and I've only exercised once.

I'm finding the diet actually quite fun when I have time to cook - I'm finding some great protein heavy, low carb recipes online. However, when I'm too busy to look up a recipe, plan ahead for my groceries, and cook a good meal... things get REALLY HARD!

Most of what you lose at first is water weight, so the slow down is natural. Pick your food apart in front of your coworkers. If anything, you'll show them you're committed to YOUR new way of eating. I'm open about it at work - I've turned down dozens of (delicious) doughnuts.

If you are ever in a pinch KFC has two dishes that are wonderful the grilled double down with only 3 net carbs and their Roasted Chicken Ceasar Salad is wonderful just watch the dressing it's really high in calories but if you're needing a calorie boost like I always do it's a way of getting them in! Tonight it was too hot to cook so I got the new Jack in the Box Pastrami sandwich without the bun I just added the ingredients in individually on here and I had two of them it's saved under favorite meals it's yummy... I'm low on my veggies today though so that's bad!
