Not sure whether swans mate for life. I would like to think so. I will keep you posted if any swans arrive to sus out the domain. The female Swan did not lay any eggs this year so she may be too old to breed. Time will tell.

Poor swans. so sad. Swans do mate for life and she is unlikely to pair up again if she is elderly. Also, birds mate the whole time they lay so if she hasnt already started, she is unlikely to start.

A very sad day for you. I love all animals. The environment and wild life are my passion. Didn't have many friends when I kept a couple of red Knee tarantulas, though. They cured me of aracnaphobia and I learned so much about spiders.
Swans are beautiful creatures. I am captivated watching them glide over the water. Kind regards
