Thinking about intermittent fasting..does anybody do and how to adjust calories (or if there is a need)

Main point of I.F. is caloric reduction, so you don’t need to adjust your calories, just reap benefits of missing a meal. What I do is 16:8, which means I’m consuming 400 calories less when I miss during my fasting period.
