I was wondering what Keto WOE meant and did a google search. But today we had an explanation from Debbie on our group challenge. On FS, WOE or Way of Eating is preferred to Diet, says Debbie Cousins. She concludes that people with any WOE are welcome and encouraged. Thanks, Debbie.
This is what I got from a Google search-- WOE = Way Of Eating. WOL = Way of Life ~ in the context of nutrition: to chose a method of eating consistantly and routinely for the rest of your life ~ as opposed to a temporary diet.
So, I may do a KetoWOE briefly ( or may not- LOL!).
But what I love is the WOL- Way of life. So, eventually my WOE is going to be a WOL.
It would include increased water intake, plenty of vegetables of various colors, moderate amounts of fruit, increased fiber intake, increased protein intake, very little sugar and carbohydrates with predominantly low glycemic index....and of course, it would include a few Cheat days.
My WOL would include daily exercise, meditation and Yoga, reading and learning something new. Time Management would be important, as I would be developing new hobbies, doing most of my own cooking, lot of traveling too.
Google provided an alternate meaning for WOE= Working On Excellence.
So my WOL (Way Of Living) is going to WOE- Work On Excellence; but it is not going to work towards Perfection.
Striving for Perfection has been my bane. It causes unnecessary stress and anxiety, results in Procrastination and then, nothing gets done.
Perfection is NOT necessary for a happy and productive life.
Doing your Personal Best,in the circumstances is all that is necessary. This will also give one time to view the rainbows, smell the roses and enjoy the music.
Happiness in life, just as anything else comes by striving for it and having the right attitude.
