The road to goal, like the road to true love, is rarely smooth. I have a small gain this week. Just a shade over a pound. My doc warned this might happen as my body adjusts to being off the high blood pressure med with the diuretic. Also, I reacted badly to the atkins endulge bars. I've stopped eating them, but it took a couple of days for the desire to eat everything in sight to show up and a couple more for me to figure out what caused it. This is a little bump, not a train wreck. Next week will be better.

That's right...keep up that good attitude! It's wonderful to be off a med as I'm sure that makes you feel better about your progress. Keep up the good work:) And thank for the email about the Wii. I don't think I ever responded, but I do appreciate the input. I want one bad...guess I'll have to start saving my pennies!

Of course it will. You are doing fabulous, and shuld be so proud of how far you have come! By the by, I forgot to ask what the dr said when you told her Atkins was the reason behind your success (other than your determination and grit). Was she surprised???

Thanks, girls. You can't know how much your support means to me. :)
Well, the doctor grudgingly admitted that my diet plan had to be doing some good with a 30+ pound loss in just a little over 2 months. I got the usual cautions about not losing too rapidly and eating too much fat and protein. I smiled, and said, "Yes. The low-fat high complex carb diet worked soooooooo well for me in the past. Think I'll stick with what I'm doing." hehehehe

Good for you Lavinnia. You have come so far already. Don't let this little fluctuation to get you down. You already know why it's there so it can only get better from here on out.
