Would your fitness not improve if you did some HIIT?Why would you think you would get smaller? Other people can make it happen I'm sure you could to.

Yes BMI is a joke, was never intended to measure an individual.

Didn't you already call one of my workouts HIIT? I sometimes rest a minute or less and sometimes longer. I can't get on board with cardio making me bigger but nothing wrong with HIIT lifting.

All you do is rag on me for doing 90 mins HIIT a day and now it's ok?

I think my fitness is just fine. I was helping my brother carry in some flooring yesterday. I was grabbing two stacks at a time totaling 100 pounds and carrying from his truck bed to the second story of his house. His whole bed was full and I did it all in one go without taking a break. He was only grabbing one stack and took breaks every couple of trips. The way I lift makes me plenty fit.

You didn't call it HIIT, you keep calling it cardio. Cardio to me doesn't involve lifting at all.

the weights at night are a very small part of my training. I do weights for the continued cal burn and that's about it. I have to cut Cal's way back as I have physically got larger then I want in 4 weeks doing HIIT(which makes you smaller?)

Someone who isn't fit cannot lift 160k pounds in less than two hours.

Of course they can hahahahaha powerlifters are not fit at all mate!!!

Ask a powerlifter to run through a carpark it's hilarious.

I mean, lifting makes you larger, that's a no brainer. It's not like you're beyond the average gym goer size wise..No offense but 20 pounds over "ideal" weight isn't huge.

Larger then I want to be

After comp I will lose it all within afew weeks. Ready to do it again once more before I get seriously ready for my hike.

There are different types of fit. You wouldn't be fit enough to do my workouts and I wouldn't be fit enough to do yours. I prefer my type of fit to yours and you prefer yours. There is a balance of strength and endurance. Mine is superior in my opinion.

I'm not convinced size - strength are as related as alotvof people think. I'm still abit smaller then end of last comp but lifting heavier. Whats up with that?

Depends on your goals.

I'd rather be able to deadlift 400 for reps and then get on a bench and bench 300 for reps and be able to run 3-5 miles non stop. You'd rather run 10+ miles and lift half of what I lift. Different strokes.

Fit is fit, their is only one true test of fitness. That is to take resting heart rate. Elevate it to redline and record time it takes to return to rest. Powerlifters I assure you are not fit. They will still be panting a good time after a fit person is at rest.

You gain size and getting stronger is 100% but you can also get stronger while stating the same size. There are powerlifters my size or smaller who are much stronger. If you train a certain way, you can get stronger without the need for more mass. Mass just makes it easier.
