No roasting but in the slow cooker quite long. Also the bones of 3 chicken carcasses were from the Treager smoker!!! Hense the dark color I think. What was left of carrots/celery and onions was to die for! Yum!

Yes I guess that would be true although the whole chickens I used were soaked in a brine for several hours as whole chicks prior to smoking. Don’t think the sodium content should be too high. Heard others talk about just run to the store and get broth in a box. As with much mass produced products they need to keep the sodium contact high as a preservative in most cases. I try to keep my carbs low and I think that causes me to require more sodium anyway so I hope I’m good. Always keep that water going down in any case! ✌️

Yep out of the cooker strained and into any sealable jar while still hot. Caps on and into the frig to seal ‘em up tight as they cool. I was hearing the tops on these “click” before even getting them in the frig! 😇 That’s good!
