Lavinnia's Journal, 09 Jun 10

My mind is made up. I am going to get a Wii fit. I don't care what my boys say about the games, or the graphics. It's my money, my time and my game system. I'm gonna do it. lol
Going for the pool pass today, too. The sun is shining. The temp is supposed to go up. That way, we'll have it for when it is 90 and sunny.

Good for you. I still haven't broken down and spent the money yet. But the Wii Biggest Loser is still kicking my butt. Please let me know if you like it. I need more reasons to spend the money.

Alright, you go Lavinnia. I am thinking about asking the boys for a Wii for Christmas. Don"t know how I will do, but by then maybe I will have lost enough to be able to do the exercises without my knees swelling up like balloons.

I can't vouch for the Wii Fitness, but the Wii Biggest Loser has a ton of different exercises that you can set up per your preferences to build your own workout. I love being able to do only certain exercises when my shoulders or back hurt. Also, most of the games utilize your arms instead of your legs so your knees will be fine.

You'll love it!! The fit plus is great too! Sports resort is something you can do with your kids! I play all kinds of fun stuff with my 12 yr old son!! Maybe you could go to a place that sells used games and get all 3 for the price of just the fit new? GameStop if you have one. Highly recommend all of them =o)

Awesome, I may have to splurge and get on sooner rather than later. I am going to use the resistance bands in the pool (when the weather allows) for now. If only the silly weather would cooperate. RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY!!! Found a great new exercise for the bands on the Pilates site that I am going to incorporate, if I can kneel down! lol

Go for it! I love my WiiFit Plus and my husband and I are bowling together almost every day. My mother had asked for a system for her 82nd birthday. After I used hers whilst visiting I just had to have my own. I love the step exercises, the yoga and even the crazy balance games.

Thanks for all the input. I think I'll check out GameStop before I buy anything. I have a gym membership, but you know, I can't always get there. With it right in the house, I have no excuse. lol. I got my pool pass. They offer water aerobics every day, M through Thursday. I may check that out, too.
