Things are going good. Got to go for a walk with hubby last night. It was nice. Its nice to beable to have a conversation without little ears listening to every word you say.
We walked to subway and got dinner. Kids were excited about that and it was cheap. 3 foot longs for $15. We each ate 1/2 and hubby had lunch for today so did our little boy. Hubby asked if I was going to get back to the diet today. Told him yes. Its hard to goto bbqs and not eat all the good food. Didn't over stuff myself but ate bbq ribs w/homemade bbq sauce, baked beans, and french bread and way to much rum and diet coke. But had a good time. Kids got to ride quads the whole time.
He informed me I can't diet monday-friday and eat poorly on the weekend. I told him great we'll just stay home. He said great with diesel prices being $4.49 a gallon. My truck hold 38 gallons. So we will be staying home alot more. Good thing there is alot of cleaning I could be doing. lol. My dad tells me to go out and buy a car that gets better gas milleage. I asked him if he was going to pay for this car since my money tree doesn't fill the need to produce any money this year. lol

So that was my weekend. Next weekend we're going to a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation dinner. Think I can be pretty good there They usally serve meat and some sort of salad and other high carb foods but I think I can pass them up and its here in town so no traveling. We could walk to it but I don't want to walk home at mid night.

Done talking everyones ear off.

Going out and about is sometimes difficult when there aren't many choices for the "right foods". Sometimes we just need to decide which is the lesser of the evils in front of us! lol Keep at it... you're doing GREAT!! Maybe more of your friends and family will come to visit you, where you can manage what foods are there to eat! Have a great day!

When I have an evening out, I have been trying to make a decision before hand as to where I will focus my calorie splurge - food or alcohol. If I do both I know it spells trouble because the alcohol calories go down so easily! One splurge a week isn't so bad, especially if you plan for it and are able to eat light for a few days before. It's not realistic (or fun!) to just stay in EVERY weekend. Find the right balance for you where you can still have fun and continue to lose weight.

My hubby loves to grill anything!! With that said, we have a lot of get togethers in the summer. My family laughs b/c I will send out invites for anything that is marked on the calendar... I don't care what holiday it is or if it's just a full moon, ha ha. I make sure to always fix a side salad or even a fruit salad (to splurge) and I fill up on the meat. I try to choose the Hamburgers or Chicken and ask that my hubby not drown mine in the sauce.. by then, I'm so stuffed that I can't touch the other stuff. It's good too if you can make some low carb pb cookies or some kind of low carb dessert so you don't feel left out or tempted to grab something else. You could also eat something low carb before going so that you're not eye-balling the food on an empty stomach. The good thing about Atkin's too is that no one really has to know that you are dieting b/c you can really eat as much as you want, just choosing the right foods is the hardest part. Good luck on the weekends!! You're right about the gas prices, I don't use diesel but I do have a SUV and I don't know how much it will hold exactly b/c I don't ever have enough to fill it up, lol. Maybe we should buy bikes, Ha Ha.
