This is the Second day after the first meeting of the "Couch Potato to 5K" class at the YMCA. We did paperwork, a few squats and reverse lunges as an intro to functional fitness training, then walked for about 15 minutes. Meeting #2 is this evening.
We aren't supposed to do any additional working out for the first week or two, just to be safe. However, I'm currently building an addition to the house, and I finished decking the roof today -- 7 4'x8'sheets of 7/16 inch OSB with radiant barrier tossed up onto the roof, then multiple trips up and down the ladder.
My hunger levels were higher today than they have been at any point in this journey -- I'm five weeks in right now -- but I was also more active than usual and consumed fewer calories than usual. I also didn't do so well on my carbs -- especially avoiding sugar -- as I snacked on cookies about an hour after supper. The first day of my food journal, and of course I would follow a salad for supper with cookies for desert!
