Entertaining video pitting weights vs. HIIT on a treadmill for calorie burn.
Weights are king. Not only did he have a higher max heart rate spike, but it also burned slightly more calories. Not to mention it helps you build or at the least retain precious lean mass.
If you want to prioritize lean mass retention and keep your metabolism humming, weights come first whether it be calisthenics or weight lifting.

This doesn't even take into account EPOC, excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, which is said to be much higher after resistance training than cardio.

it sounds very technical. Weight s are fun...the treadmill is a little boring, but great if it s boiling or pouring outside. ..I'm looking into getting rid of tummy fat. Its coming off my thighs..and cellulite going after only 10 weeks. Do you have any great tips there Diablo? 58 5ft 3 64.7kg have lost 9 kg. and walking alot ..You look awesome!

You can always try weighted ab movements like rope crunches and leg raises to help tighten the area but at the end of the day you can't really spot reduce. There was a recent study showing slightly more fat loss from the legs when people lost fat while doing a lot of cycling I believe but it was the first one ever so who knows if it was accurate. Experts say that you will always lose and gain fat from the same areas depending on your genetic makeup. For example me, the very last place I will lose mine is from my lower stomach. And thank you!
