It's the last day of May. Where does the time go? I'm looking over all my 'stuff' to get an idea of progress. What strikes me the most is how much better I feel as opposed to April 28, when I started this journey. I'm down over 20 pounds. I've cut my insulin in half or better, even after some adjusting back up. I've stopped the short acting insulin before meals altogether.
I took myself off of my 2nd diuretic. I take a blood pressure med w/ a diruetic. After a couple of weeks, I got brave and stopped taking the additional diuretic. Well, I noticed my ankles starting to swell again. Not good. I jumped the gun a little. lol. So, I got back on that. The swelling's down this morning, and so is the scale, though I didn't record it yet. I'm trying not to weigh every day. I will jump on and see what's going on on my 5 week anniversary on Wednesday.
We may do a cookout later today. I'm thinking chicken and maybe some hamburgers for the boys. They do love hamburgers.
