I eat a lots of carbs, at least 50-60 percent of my diet, and I have maintained a 90 pound weight loss for over 20 years, including now into my 50s. Carbs are good for you! Read Dr. Valter Longo's work on food, wellness and longevity or listen to the numerous podcasts on which he has appeared. He makes no money from his workt; every dime goes to research. He is truly motivated by altruism and what he sees as disordered and dangerous diets that increase all-cause mortality Personally, I think it is a shame to reduce food--which is a blessing to have in such abundance that one has the ability to eliminate entire food groups and which carries within it the genetic codes for wellness, history, tradition and culture--to a series of macro and micro nutrients.
