It's so good to have Beau home; he was very happy to see me (as I was him!)and was a good boy even though there was a traffic issue going home and he was stuck in his carrier for around 45 minutes. He ate a whole little can of food when he got home, drank from both of his water fountains, used his litter box, and was very affectionate. After a while, he got crazy playful; his room at the Retreat wasn't very large, though he had a window, shelves to climb on, and room for toys & scratchers from home, as well as his blanket on a bed by the window. He was let out of the room to walk around the inside of the Retreat & sniff at & converse with the other kitties through their doors, but no real tearing around like he does here! We entertained each other, and laughed a lot.
I'm so tired; think my body's still on Eastern time or something. Woke up way early & couldn't go back to sleep. I decided not to go to the gym today, mostly because I thought Beau deserved my undivided attention as long as he wanted it since we were away for so long. I think he's upstairs taking a nap; I may join him!
I baked a loaf of honey whole wheat bread this morning, cooked a good lunch, and did some prep work for dinner tonight, some laundry, and some other housework. I think it's break time.
