Here I go again! Not sure why I just dont get it! I just cant get a break, I try and continue to fail. I need help BAD! I'm not attaining my little goals of tracking, portion control and measuring. OK, this was as negative as I can be towards my life style change. So it's off my chest, now here is the positive.

I'm still working out, harder than before...doing weight training now with my trainer. I've only had one session with him and worked out 1 other time with weights, and today strugged thru my cardio work out, but did it! I'm trying so hard to get my metobolism started. I gained 2 pounds since the weight training began, hoping its water retention.

I accomplished, VERY successfully, my 30 day goal of not eating ANY chocolate. I hoped it may jump start my weight loss...NOPE.

Here I am again...not giving up, just need something to get the tracking and measuring to stick. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open for trying anything.

The more muscle you build, the more calories you will burn. Strength training also revs the metabolism. If you just started, your muscles retain water (they get little tears) and it helps them heal. It can show up as a gain. Measure yourself. You will start losing inches. But to lose you must get your diet on track. Motivation is something that comes from within. Find things that you know motivate you. Buy some magazines and read about nutrition and exercise. Put the scale in front of the fridge. Put an outfit you want to wear out for you to see it every day. Set small attainable goals (5 pounds at a time). Buy yourself something to reward yourself after every 5 pounds (not food, that's what got us here in the first place, lol). You might try eating 5 or 6 smaller meals with some protein with each meal to keep you full and your blood sugar levels steady. It takes time a patience to get the bodies we want. Good luck!
