Although I haven't yet read the book, I'm learning about the YOU diet and incorporating principles as I go. The last few days went pretty well. I'm eating a lot more fruits and veggies and I'm walking instead of driving to and from campus (45 mins total). Today was the first time I've experienced crazy cravings for sugar and white bread. I'm not proud of my ramen noodle dinner but tomorrow is a new day.

I'm waiting until the 19th to weigh in again but I did measure my waist this morning. I think I've lost an inch (I say think because I'm not sure I'm taking the measurement consistently. I find that the measurement changes a lot depending on whether I'm holding my breath or standing upright vs. slouched a little). Maybe this is something covered in the book that I have to get my hands on...
