I have set up the choice of diet as my own personal diet, since the option for the Bulletproof Diet is not listed on the choices here. It is not one that I have derived on my own, but the parameters of it resonate for me after spending the last six months carefully recording and observing every aspect of my diet and exercise, and what works, and what doesn't...for me. I have experienced more energy, more mental clarity, and continued weight loss. The change to low carb, via Atkins, was a positive one for me. The difference is evident in my weight loss graph. The slope of the line from March through May is much flatter than from June through August. And, I have many other side benefits besides better weight loss. In addition to the improved energy and brain function, I am seeing marked reduction in joint pain. This seems to be closely tied to the elimination of grains from my diet. I used to have to take a strong NSAID twice a day, with an additional medication to protect my stomach, because my joints were in near constant pain. I was truly debilitated by this pain. I now take the occasional pain med. on a day when my knee is acting up, but otherwise, my pain threshold has dropped dramatically. This diet has overlaps with the Primal diet, Atkins, and LCHF. It feels off to define myself as any one of them. When and if, the Bulletproof Diet is included here at FS, I will call my diet, my own diet.
