you need to figure out your rdi to know what your ideal range is.

1500 sounds good to me, you should try it for a couple of weeks. it also depends on your gender, age

I usually just eat a normal, keto lunch.

Keilin-4 I’m 36 5’3” and weighed in today at 167.3
I’ll try 1500 for a couple of weeks and see how that goes.

Ok, I started losing weight last year I am 5'0" my weight was 147 lb and age 29, and I did it with 1500 calories, now I am practically maintaining my weight with 2000 calories a day

Or you can try calories cycling, for example one day you eat 600-800 calories, another day, 1500-1600, 1400, 1200, . I do that, the numbers at the end of the week is what matters. I eat more on the weekends. Just make sure that your macros are right.
Good luck!

You need to be under 1000 to loose weight
Unless you are 7 feet and 300 lbs, than you can loose weight at 1500 cal
Very important to know your BMR (base metabolism rate) at your height, weight and activity level

Good question Zzizza! And so many ask this question and we all here seem to answer it a little different.
In order to know where to start and how much calorie deficit is a healthy starting point you do need to know “how many calories does my body need just to get through the day”. This called your RDI or Recomended Daily Intake / or your Maintenance calories. Once you know that number you can start reducing those calories until you start losing weight. Personally my RDI is in the area of 1900 and I’m working on a 500 calorie deficit. So I shoot for 1400 calories per day.
This is a good starting point

I am new on here and I am needing to lose weight. I use to be Keto and it worked but this time around I have been challenged with having a job that is always changing up my lunch and at times eating bad because of the changes during work hours.

you find an online calculator and put in your stats. If you were keto you can still be, it is always a matter of choice and preparation. Lifestyle changes are all about making good choices no matter what type of diet you wish to use.

Baskington are you doing keto? So with my bmr being 1700 I’d have go lower, should I decrease the protein since fat is very important? I start my dad with butter in my coffee and then don’t eat till around 1-2pm. I thought keto wasn’t about calories

keto can be about calories, it depends on the person. I am now doing carnivore but have been keto for over 2 years. You need to figure out your macro's and if you are planning keto here is a very good calculator for both the rdi and your macro's. It is easy to use and it will give you a range for your protein you pick your carbs which is no more than 20 and it will tell you the fat you need. You try it a couple weeks after you get into ketosis. that takes a few days. once you are well established in fat burning you may find you may need more or less protein and or more or less fats. this is different for everyone. I don't use the calculator here as it is way too generous for me. the kronometer one and the carnivore one and this one are all very similar give or take a couple calories. https://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ be honest with your activity level. I use sedentary
