Just seen the tail end of a report on BBC Breakfast program that eating a low carb diet shortens your life ... I think being obese is also shortening my life and cutting out carbs is about the only diet that has ever really worked for me, plus I have more energy and feel healthier than I have done for a long time since giving them up, so im not going to start eating them again!!

I heard that too. Also read it on the BBC website. It's based on old data, a survey with people self-reporting and lots of extrapolation by the looks of it. I'm filing it with the "Red wine's good for you" one day and "Red wine's bad for you" the next.

Yeah ... breathing fresh air and drinking water will be deemed as being bad for us one of these days by the so called experts! I'm fed up with seeing reports saying one thing one day and the complete opposite the next!

Read it this morning too. One thing I’ve definitely learnt is don’t trust studies until you have all the information about why it was done, who did it, who funded it etc it’s such a shame that companies will protect their value by sometimes underhanded means at the cost of human health.

Breathing fresh air and drinking water are obviously bad for you - everyone does it and everyone dies!!!

Tomqsadler and Phooka I totally agree! Our new, young GP is supporting my husband with his Keto regime and is delighted with his massively improved blood sugar levels, high blood pressure now normal and his brilliant weight loss! Having watched the great video entitled "The Magic Pill 2017" on YouTube I now see what opposition to this way of eating is being fuelled by!
