Well, it has been a while since I last put in a journal entry. However, a great deal has happened so I have a good excuse.
First, I am once again injury free. Now the only pain I experience is the creaking joints of my impending dotage. It is a good feeling to wake up and not be horribly sore.
Second, I went to my brother's wedding this weekend. We drove, so it ended up being 14 hours round trip, plus we drove all over the San Francisco Bay area and that added another several hours. Between that and over eating I actually managed to put on 7 pounds, but most of that is water weight. I'm back down to 185 this morning.
Third, I have a new schedule. I think this one is doable since it has a lot of low impact days in it:
Monday: Gym at lunch, martial arts at night Tuesday: Salsa dance lessons at night Wednesday: Gym at lunch, run the dog in the evening (3 - 5 miles), kick boxing at night Thursday: Run the dog in the evening(3 - 5 miles), kick boxing at night Friday: Gym at lunch, kick boxing at night (optional if I missed Wed. or Fri.), Salsa dancing late night (also optional). Saturday: Martial arts in the morning, walk the dog (2 miles) Sunday: Rest (and walk the dog 2 miles)
It seems a little crowded up there, but truth to tell I feel pretty lazy on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Salsa lessons are far less intense of a workout than I expected. I'd liken it to power walking only with more breaks.
