And the hits just keep coming!
Got home Wednesday evening to a waterfall coming thru my front door. Yes my hot water heater died. Why? Nothing logical considering it was 116 outside, so it shouldn't have been having to work very hard. It did mean that with my already depleted energy, I had to muster the strength to move all of the crap from my kitchen and laundry room (thankfully those were the only two rooms flooded)out into my front patio. I of course couldn't move the w/d, fridge, or stove to get at the water under those, but I did end up pushing water for almost 2 hours to get as much up and out as possible.
My landlord was able to get a plumber to come out yesterday morning, so my boss let me work from home until he was done. Unfortunately that meant after moving more stuff for him, and cleaning up as much as I could after he removed the old unit, I still had to drive in to work, after he got the new unit installed. When I got in at 2pm, she tells me then that I could have worked from home for the entire day if I'd wanted. REALLY!!!
Got off at 6, and finished the day off with having to bring all the crap back in from out of my front yard. So if you think I'm looking forward to the weekend, YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! :-)
