What is that? Looks good but I’ve never seen it before. Looks like little meat cups lol.

It's chicken taco meat (boneless skinless meat, pkg taco seasoning, 1/2 can rotel tomatoes in the crock pot), served in Joseph's Pita pockets (3 carbs per half). Topped with basic taco toppings... made a great, diet friendly family dinner.

Ok thanks! I’ll have to make this minus the pita pockets. I’m not doing Keto just tracking calories for now. If I get close to my goal and stall I plan to try it but for now I’m just trying to stay under 150(the # I should have at 40-45%). I’ve never had pita but my kids have and refuse to eat it although hubby likes it. I’d enjoy this without any covering/holder. AND I love anything I can put in my crock pots! Thanks again!

@Peeperjj, Enjoy the chicken! It was super simple and very tasty. As for the Pitas, those are called Joseph's Heart Healthy Whole Wheat Pita and a half pita (as shown above) is 30 calories and 2.5 carbs. I eat them pretty regularly because I was a bread-o-holic before I started trying to eat healthy and you can stuff anything in a pita and call it a meal! LOL

I like how it looks like it would be easy to carry around. A lot of days I eat lunch while doing other things like counters, filling the dishwasher or chatting on the phone with a friend. I like food I can hold while I’m busy and not worry about stuff falling off lol. I’m a bread-o-holic lol. I’ve found a 40&45 calorie bread that is okay. Not the same but it tricks my body and mind into thinking I am getting 70-100 cal white bread lol. I find if I allow myself to have it 1-2 times a week I don’t crave ‘real’ bread. Same with potatoes. Keto wouldn’t work for me long term as I would feel so restricted and then gorge myself when I have my treat meals. I’m learning about it tho as I assume I’ll need it when I stall later on. Thanks again and I plan to make the chicken later this week!
