Ziannelyn, what a great loss! However long it took, it's an accomplishment to be proud of! I see from your full weight loss graph that you've been at this on FS a long time. I didn't reach my max weight (285 lbs. at 5'9" tall) until I was about 35, but I stayed at that weight till I was 53. I'm now 64 and have lost 69 pounds net -- but probably 300 pounds if you count how much I've lost and regained and lost again. As I've aged, though, I've lost muscle mass, so I don't look much thinner than I did before. I have serious complications from type 2 diabetes (onset at age 49) that I ignored for over a decade, eating whatever I wanted. Now, after reconstructive foot surgery, I can't walk for exercise or for pleasure either, because of the neuropathy-related bony damage to my feet. I live near handicapped parking spots, and I've given up my dreams of seeing more of Europe and the U.S. I've finally decided to change to a ketogenic diet and I like it much better than low-carb/low-fat. I want to encourage you to grab onto the regimen that works for you and make a DECISION that the END this life of pain begins NOW. I can't tell you how I wish I had a second chance to do it right.
