Nidoqueen's Journal, 10 May 18

One of my favorite sedentary things to do is play with data on a spreadsheet. Now that I've been on this diet and regularly logging my food intake for 10 weeks, I have sufficient data to draw a few conclusions about how it's working for me. Taking the daily data that FS gives, I set up a spreadsheet to compare daily numbers, week over week, and month over month.

One of my first observations is that CI/CO certainly isn't the whole picture. My daily caloric intake has been all over the place, but when you start to do averages, it begins to balance out. Monthly, there is very little fluctuation in my calorie intake. Weekly, it's a little more variant, but not much really. I'm averaging around 1100 (high 1567; low 735) calories a day for the period. That really hasn't changed much in the whole 10 weeks. My exercise level has been relatively consistent as well, although it *is* time to kick it up a notch.

What I HAVE noticed is that while my caloric intake has remained fairly consistent, my macros have shifted and the weight loss has been a result of that shift. Overall, my Fat grams, Fiber, and Protein are on the rise (up ~10%), while my Carbs are trending downward (~15%).

So anyway, no big news here. My personal findings are pretty consistent with dietitians and nutritionists so I'm not coming up with anything radical. But it was fun to do and shows me a really good view of the "big picture".

Interesting! When I increase my fat intake and lower carbs I lose more consistently.
